Markus Pavlov is an indie-pop duo born out of a long-term friendship between two musicians and their shared fascination with pop music that carries emotion, atmosphere and lyrical depth. The group was founded in 2016, when singer-songwriter and producer Marko Bukvić was joined by composer and multi-instrumentalist Pavle Gavrilović.

Their joint work is characterized by a carefully constructed sound that combines melancholic vocals, electric and acoustic guitars, analog keyboards and subtle electronic details. Markus Pavlov's songs balance intimacy and anthemic breadth, creating a world where urban everyday life intertwines with personal memories and inner dialogues.

After a long hiatus, the band reactivates in 2023, bringing a refreshed sound and a clear artistic vision.

The first single "June wakes up" announces their debut album, and is an introduction to a new cycle of work and exploration of contemporary indie-pop expression.
